Charters Towers Regional Council encourages residents to reflect, respect and celebrate as they’re all part of the story of Australia.
The Charters Towers Region’s Australia Day Awards are a celebration and opportunity to recognise the valuable contribution that individuals, community groups and organisations make in our region. On Friday, 2 February we will be celebrating community members that have been recognised for being great at what they do, going beyond what would reasonably be expected in their profession, contributing to the Charters Towers region, and inspiring those around them. The Charters Towers Region’s Australia Day Award Ceremony will be held at the World Theatre from 6pm Friday, 2 February.
Australia Day Pool Party
Australia Day Celebrations will begin on Sunday, 11 February at the Kennedy Regiment Memorial Pool with activities for all age groups from 1pm to 4pm. It will be free entry and to top it off there will be a free sausage sizzle, how Australian is that?
