Arthur Titley Centre

The Arthur Titley Centre is located in Mosman Street within the Central Business District of Charters Towers.  Formerly known as the Horticultural Hall and opened in 1933, the centre was renamed in honour of the former Mayor. This venue is suitable for banquets, cocktail or dinner-dance events, conference meetings or trade shows. The air-conditioned venue features a full commercial kitchen and a separate bar area, both serve the separate function rooms with disabled access. The Centre features a stage with disabled access also.

Flo Fitzgerald Room and Meeting Room 2 [Excelsior Library]

Two meeting rooms are available for hire at the Excelsior Library by members of the general public.  Meeting Room 2 is located on the second level which is serviced by an elevator. 

Each room will comfortably seat 24 people. Both rooms have access to kitchenette facilities with crockery and cutlery available for 24 people. The rooms are air-conditioned and collapsible tables and chairs are provided. Toilet facilities are also available. A whiteboard and smart television is available for use however, whiteboard pens and computer/electronic devices for presentations must be provided by the hirer. Dependent upon availability, a data projector may be available for use. It is recommended that bookings are made well in advance for use of this projector.

It is recommended that hirers allow 10-15 minutes prior to starting time to allow for a site induction by Library staff.

The World Theatre

Located at 82-90 Mosman Street, The World Theatre combines state of the art facilities, a box office and gallery areas for hire. The complex was opened by the former Dalyrmple Shire Council in 1996 and is available for hire by individuals and organisations alike.
