Rural Industry Advisory Group
The Rural Industry Advisory Group (RIAG) is a key initiative aimed at ensuring rural residents have a direct channel for providing input on significant issues affecting our rural community. The RIAG will focus on strategic matters within Council’s jurisdiction, such as road policies, process for disaster relief funding arrangements, biodiversity initiatives, and more.
The Advisory Group consists of representatives from different landowner quadrants within the Charters Towers Regional Council Local Government area, who will meet regularly and provide recommendations to Council.
Council is encouraging further representation from rural residents through an Expression of Interest (EOI) process. If you are interested in representing your quadrant, please email executiveservices@charterstowers.qld.gov.au
