Local Laws

Under the Local Government Act 2009, Council has powers to make and enforce local laws. Our local laws reflect community needs to ensure safety, harmony and good rule. They govern such things as parking, the use of Council controlled areas, swimming pools, advertising and animal management.

Council’s Local Laws require an approval for a Prescribed Activity for a variety of actions.
