People’s Choice Voting Now Open for 2026 Business Excellence Awards

Charters Towers Regional Council is encouraging residents to show their support for outstanding local businesses, with voting now officially open for the 2026 Business Excellence Awards – People’s Choice Award.
The People’s Choice Award provides the community with the opportunity to recognise the businesses that consistently deliver exceptional service and demonstrate a strong commitment to the Charters Towers Region.
The nominees for this year’s People’s Choice Award were submitted by members of the public during the nomination period in late 2025.
Winners will be announced at the 2026 Business Excellence Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday, 23 May 2026, an evening that will bring together local business owners, community leaders and residents to celebrate excellence across the region.
Councillor Kate Hastie encouraged the community to get involved and celebrate the dedication of local operators.
“Our local businesses are the backbone of the Charters Towers Region, and the People’s Choice Award is a wonderful way for our community to recognise their hard work and commitment.
“Every day, these businesses go above and beyond to support our residents, create local jobs and strengthen our regional economy.
“I encourage everyone to take a few moments to cast their vote and show appreciation for the businesses that make our region exceptional”, said Councillor Hastie.
Community members are urged to show their support by submitting their vote before close of business on Monday, 30 March 2026.
