Council is pleased to share that its annual Community Connect Meetings will once again take place throughout the region this year.
These meetings continue to play an important role in fostering strong connections between Council and local communities.
Taking place once a year, the meetings provide residents with the opportunity to meet face to face with Councillors and senior staff in a friendly and accessible setting.
Mayor Schmidt is encouraging residents from across the region to attend a meeting in their local area.
“These meetings are a great way to share your ideas, ask questions and stay informed about what is happening in your community”, Mayor Schmidt said.
“You are invited to come along, have a conversation and connect directly with your local Council representatives”.
Dates and locations of the scheduled meetings are as follows:
- Homestead – Tuesday, 7 July 2026; 12:15pm - 1:45pm
- Pentland – Tuesday, 7 July 2026; 2:45pm - 4:15pm
- Ravenswood – Tuesday, 21 July 2026; 10am - 11:30am
- Hervey Range – Tuesday, 4 August 2026; 10am - 11:30am
- Hidden Valley – Monday, 10 August 2026; 10am - 11:30am
- Greenvale – Thursday, 27 August 2026; 11:30am - 1pm
Community members are encouraged to spread the word and invite others along to take part.
To assist with planning, attendees are asked to RSVP at least one week before their selected meeting so catering and venue arrangements can be finalised.
Residents are also encouraged to submit any questions ahead of time through the RSVP form to help ensure detailed responses can be provided on the day. Questions will still be welcomed during each meeting.
Attendance is open to everyone, and community members are welcome to join any meeting, even if they have not registered.
“This is your chance to share what matters most in your community and to contribute to the conversation about the future of our region”, added Mayor Schmidt.
