Council launches new website

Charters Towers Regional Council is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, offering a modern and user-friendly experience for the community.
The new website will ensure all visitors to the site receive a high-quality digital experience.
Accessibility and ease of navigation were key priorities in its development.
Mayor Schmidt has welcomed the new site with its modern look and improved search functionality.
“We’re excited to present the improved site to our community and believe they will find it much easier to use,” added Mayor Schmidt.
Following advice from Local Government Association Queensland (LGAQ) that the previous site would no longer be supported, Council staff worked closely with the organisation to develop the new site.
As well as having limitations from an administrative perspective, the previous platform was also limited in its capabilities for end users and was in some respects quite clunky.
The new site has been designed to provide a more streamlined, user-friendly experience for residents, businesses, and visitors, and offers improved navigation, greater accessibility, and enhanced functionality for all device types.
“We’re proud to produce a website that puts the community first, making it easier to access information and interact with Council anytime, anywhere.
“I would like to also take this opportunity to thank LGAQ and their dedicated team for their professionalism, and assistance throughout this project,” Mayor Schmidt continued.
The updated site is now live and can be accessed at www.charterstowers.qld.gov.au.
Visitors to the site are welcome to provide feedback on the new platform, by clicking on the Feedback link on the site’s home page.
