Easter Egg Hunt

The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance at the Centenary Park Markets from 10:30am on Sunday, 22 March 2026 and will be handing out delicious eggs!

Children will create and decorate a mask or hat before hunting around the park collecting eggs.

Registrations are essential and parents will be required to complete a permission form at the event.

*Note: All children will receive a pre-packaged bag of Easter Treats.

Colouring In Competition

Entries are now being accepted for the 2026 Easter Colouring In Competition.

Pick up your colouring in sheet and entry form at Council's Administration Centre, the Visitor Information Centre, the Excelsior Library, or by downloading via the links below.

Entries are to be submitted directly into the competition box at Council's Administration Centre, Excelsior Library, Visitor Information Centre or can be posted to Charters Towers Regional Council, Att: Events Team, PO Box 189, Charters Towers, Qld 4820.

Entries close at 4pm on Friday, 27 March 2026.

All eligible entries will be publicly displayed at the Excelsior Library from Wednesday, 1 April – Friday, 10 April.

Winners will be announced on Monday, 30 March via Council's social media channels.
