Pentland residents and the business community are advised that Council has moved Pentland to a Level 5 Water Restriction.

Council advises that the truck water line into the Pentland reservoir continues to be impacted by a significant water leak. Crews have been on site throughout the day attempting to locate the issue, however saturated ground conditions have made it difficult to pinpoint the source.

At this time, three properties on Barrs Road, Pentland are without water. All other Pentland properties continue to have water supply, provided strict conservation measures are followed.

To help protect essential supply, residents and the business community of Pentland are asked to strictly limit water use to drinking water only and adhere to the following restrictions:

  • No watering is permitted
  • Only flush toilets when absolutely necessary
  • Showering limited to a maximum of 3 minutes

These measures are essential to maintaining supply while repairs continue.

Council appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation and will provide a further update tomorrow morning.
