Council's Annual Community Connect Meetings return

Council is pleased to announce the dates for this year’s annual Community Connect Meetings throughout the region.

These meetings are a key initiative designed to strengthen relationships between Council and the regional communities across our region.

Held once a year, these meetings offer a valuable opportunity for regional residents to connect directly with Councillors and senior staff in an open, welcoming environment.

Mayor Schmidt is encouraging those from regional communities to attend a meeting in their area.

“Whether you have ideas to share, questions to ask, or simply want to chat with your local representatives, these gatherings are your chance to receive updates and be heard”, continued Mayor Schmidt.

Dates and locations of the scheduled meetings are as follows:

  • Greenvale: Thursday, 14 August 2025; 11:30am - 1pm
  • Hervey Range: Friday, 22 August 2025; 10am - 11:30am
  • Hidden Valley/Paluma: Wednesday, 27 August 2025; 10am – 11:30am
  • Homestead: Thursday, 17 July 2025; 10am - 11:30am
  • Pentland: Thursday, 17 July 2025; 12:30pm - 2pm
  • Ravenswood: Tuesday, 5 August 2025; 10am - 11:30am

The community are asked to spread the word, encourage their neighbours to attend, and bring their ideas.

Attendees are asked to RSVP at least one week prior to their local event to ensure appropriate catering can be supplied and the space is set up to welcome everyone comfortably.

If anyone has specific questions they would like answered, Council is encouraging them to be submitted in advance using the RSVP Form so that they can ensure they have answers on the day.  

Of course, questions on the day are also welcome.

Community members are welcome to attend any of the meetings, even if they don’t get the opportunity to RSVP.

“This is the regional community’s opportunity to talk directly with Council about what matters most to them in their backyards”, added Mayor Schmidt.
