Council launches 2025 Community & Business Satisfaction Survey
Published on 08 July 2025
Charters Towers Regional Council is inviting all residents and local business owners to take part in the 2025 Annual Community & Business Satisfaction Survey and be in the running to win 1 of 6 $100 vouchers.
This important initiative is designed to help Council better understand the needs, expectations, and experiences of the community and local businesses.
From local services and communication to planning priorities, and quality of life, the Survey provides an opportunity for the community to share their views on how Council is performing and we can improve.
Deputy Mayor Kate Hastie said this year’s survey combines the previously separate community and business surveys to make it easier for the community to have their say.
“We’re eager to understand what’s working well and where improvements are needed and this survey is a vital tool to help build a Council that works better for everyone,” the Deputy Mayor continued.
Whether you’re a resident, a business owner, or both, completing the survey is a chance to influence decisions that affect life in our region, from parks and roads to permits and planning.
As a bonus, those that register and/or subscribe to a project on the Have Your Say Portal during the survey period will receive an entry into the draw to win one of the $100 vouchers. One winner from each township will be randomly selected after the survey closes.
The survey is open now and only takes a few minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous, unless you choose to provide your details.
“The survey can help identify emerging issues, track performance over time, and ensure that Council’s priorities align with what matters most to those who live and work in the region.
“It is one of the most important ways we hear directly from our community and the feedback can help us to deliver services that truly reflect the community’s needs,” continued Deputy Mayor Hastie.
Submissions close on Friday, 29 August 2025.

Hard copies of the survey are also available at Council’s Administration Centre and Excelsior Library, as well as locations throughout the Region.
