Management and Operation of Kennedy Memorial Pool

Charters Towers Regional Council (Council) provides prospective tenderers with a Forward Procurement Notice (FPN) on its intent to invite tenders for the management and operation of Kennedy Regiment Memorial Pool (KRMP) Complex and maintenance of the Water Park. 

BACKGROUND

Charters Towers Regional Council is the owner of the Kennedy Regiment Memorial Pool and Water Park. 

KRMP (Pool Complex), located at 7 to 13 Plummer Street, Charters Towers and the Water Park, located at Lot 2 Water Street, Charters Towers.

The Pool Complex consists of:

(a) Outdoor, 50m, 8 lane pool;

(b) Indoor, 25m heated pool;

(c) Children’s wading pool;

(d) Kiosk; and

(e) 3-bedroom residence.

The Water Park incorporates a water splash pad which features a tipping bucket, water slides, various water jets, spray hoops, picnic shelters, barbeques, and amenities block.


TENDER DETAILS

The opportunity to Tender will be invited via a public Request for Tender (RFT) through a separate VendorPanel Public request. It is intended that Council will release an RFT to market in late February or early March 2026. 

Council will not accept any Tender submissions in response to this FPN.
