This position will primarily undertake a range of administrative activities associated with the provision of quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders at the Saleyards facility. The focus of the position will be carrying out accurate and efficient processing of stock moving through the facility, including the collection, transfer, recording and filling of all documentation and data associated with the movement of stock through the Saleyards facility. The position will also be required to assist in the maintenance, cleaning and general upkeep of the facility, which includes the Equestrian Centre.
Employment Status: Full Time, Limited Tenure (Up to 6 months – with potential to extend)
Award: Level 2 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017
Salary Range: $77,695.00 - $82,695.00 gross per annum
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:

- Well-developed written communication and computer skills to effectively and accurately collect, record, process and file all records, accounts and documentation concerning the processing of stock as required by electronic means or other.
- Well-developed customer service skills with a proven capability to relate and provide appropriate services to Saleyard clientele.
- A sound knowledge of stock including but not limited to cattle and horses.
- Proven ability to work safely with stock and undertake tasks associated with their welfare.
- Sound ability to work effectively as a team member with a high degree of flexibility to ensure team objectives and customer service requirements are achieved.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of Workplace Health and Safety legislation and Animal Welfare Standards.

- Possession and maintenance of a current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to sit in an office environment undertaking administrative tasks for prolonged periods
- Ability to undertake field work whilst exposed to inclement weather.
- Physically fit to carry out moderate to heavy manual handling tasks.
- This position requires the incumbent to have the ability to work flexible hours, participate in an on-call roster, and after hour’s duties as determined by operational requirements.
