To deliver high quality administrative support as directed to ensure efficient and accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable services are achieved. To provide these services in an accurate and timely manner with excellent customer service which comply with clearly defined policies and procedures, accounting standards and legislative requirements.
Employment Status: Full Time, Permanent
Award: Level 2 of the Queensland Local Government Industry (Stream A) Award – State 2017
Salary Range: $ 74,706.00 to $ 79,514.00 per annum
ABOUT YOU
The successful candidate will have:
| Essential Knowledge, skills and abilities |
- Good knowledge and understanding of computerised accounting modules, specifically including orders, creditors, debtors, and job costing.
- A sound understanding in working with core general ledger accounts.
- Ability to undertake administrative activities in a structured, organised and timely manner, demonstrating an eye for detail.
- Experience in processing electronic commercial transactions.
- Well-developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, judgement, confidentiality, tact and discretion whilst dealing with a broad cross-section of external and internal people.
- Ability to work independently or in a team in a professional and positive manner.
- Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite, including formatting and preparation of documents using both Microsoft Excel and Word.
| Essential Education/Qualifications |
- Minimum education level of completion of Year 10 or equivalent.
| Essential Licences |
- Possession and maintenance of a current Queensland ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/POSITION ENVIRONMENT
Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment; to walk, stand, or sit for prolonged periods of time; to perform light to moderate manual handling tasks such as repeated bending, twisting, lifting, kneeling etc.
