Public Notice - Controlled Burns at Mingela - Commencing Monday 8 June 2020

Council intends to conduct controlled burning of excess vegetation on the vacant Mingela Reserve land located on Flinders Highway and Mingela Road, Mingela between Monday 8 and Friday 12 June 2020.

The purpose of the programme is to reduce heavy vegetation growth to prevent against the harbourage of vermin and risks of potential wild fire to residents of the area.

Residents are advised to avoid the area during burn off activity where possible. Residents who may have respiratory or health related issues are advised to stay indoors and close windows to avoid any smoke nuisance/airborne irritants.

Council acknowledges the burns may cause inconvenience and appreciates the community’s cooperation.
