Plumbing Applications
If you are planning to undertake plumbing works, it may be necessary for you to obtain a Plumbing Approval. Not all plumbing work is assessable work.
Assessable plumbing work, being plumbing work for which an approval is required, is defined by the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002.
The application forms for such permit are available in the Application Forms section.
Further information as to assessable development may be obtained by viewing the Plumbing and Drainage Act 2002.
Plumbing Inspections
Council has a full-time Plumbing Inspector available for inspections from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 3.30pm. (Note: cut off times and conditions apply).
At least 24 hours notice of inspections is required and inspections are only conducted during normal business hours.
Inspections by appointment can be arranged by contacting Council. Further enquiries relating to plumbing and drainage approvals or plumbing and drainage issues within, or outside, property boundaries can be directed to telephone 07 4761 5544.
