The Charters Towers Regional Council has formed a partnership with the Museum of Tropical Queensland (MTQ) and developed the Community Pass Program.

Under the Community Pass Program, residents of the local government areas of Charters Towers, Townsville and Burdekin have unlimited free access to MTQ until 30th June 2013.

If you are a resident of one of the local governments participating in the Community Pass Program and would like to take the opportunity to visit MTQ free of charge, you simply need to provide identification in the form of either a library card, passport, drivers licence or another form of photographic identification on arrival at the Museum.
