Be a responsible cat owner

  • Register your cat.
  • Desex your cat at an early age.  Desexing will ensure male cats do not spray or fight.
  • Ensure your cat is kept contained to your property at all times.
  • Identify your cat with a collar and tag, or a microchip.
  • Provide clean, fresh water at all times.
  • Cats that wander can cause nuisance to your neighbours by defecating in their gardens, spraying and fighting.  A $100.00 on the spot fine applies to cats that are not contained to their own properties.  Your cat may also be impounded.
  • Cats that wander are in danger of being injured or killed by a car, dog or another cat.
