Towers Rush
Be part of an event which has captivated the community and led competitors to abseil heritage buildings, construct food masterpieces, paddle the mighty Burdekin River, complete puzzles, and challenges, and much more!
Make a team of 2 – 5 friends, family, workmates and collect points by completing challenges around Charters Towers. At the end of the race, the team with the most points will take out the title in one of five categories.
Teams have the option to navigate around the town either by foot, bicycle, or car. You will receive a map just before the start of the event as well as a clue sheet and app to download.
The challenges are more about having fun and less about being physical. For example, participate in ‘minute to win it’ games, have a go solving puzzles or a maths problem.
Some checkpoints also unlock multiple challenges worth extra points.
Kids under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the race unless arranged with the event organiser prior (e.g., school teams).
