Local Laws and Subordinate Local Laws are laws enacted by Council pursuant to the Local Government Act 2009.
Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 and Subordinate Local Law No. 2 (Animal Management) 2011 detail various matters designed at ensuring the proper management of animals including:-
- the number of animals that may be kept;
- the specific requirements and standards for the keeping of animals;
- offences resulting from the failure to properly keep animals; and
- impoundment procedures.
