Water use warning

Urgent maintenance repair works to the rising main between Council’s Water Treatment Plant and the reservoirs on Towers Hill will be taking place today, Wednesday, 8 April 2015.

This work is the result of a break which occurred over the Easter weekend.

Council requests that residents conserve water wherever possible during all of today, Wednesday. That means using water for essential purposes only – no sprinkling or hand held hoses thanks!

There is a possibility of dirty water resulting from the repairs, however residents are asked to run their taps to clear the line if required.

Council thanks residents for their understanding and will provide further information later today to confirm that the service has returned to normal.
