PUBLIC NOTICE - Commencement of the Charters Towers Regional Town Plan

Notice is given in accordance with the Planning Act 2016 that Charters Towers Regional Council on Wednesday 17 July 2019 adopted the Charters Towers Regional Town Plan which will have effect on and from Monday 29 July 2019.


The Charters Towers Regional Town Plan applies to the entire Charters Towers local government area and replaces the Aligned Charters Towers Planning Scheme 2011 and the Aligned Planning Scheme for Dalrymple Shire 2006.


The Charters Towers Regional Town Plan can be viewed online (http://www.charterstowers.qld.gov.au/ctrc-planning-services) or at Council’s Administration Centres located at 12 and 70 Mosman Street, Charters Towers.
