Outstanding Business Opportunity - 10 March 2015

Glenys Schuntner CEO of Regional Development Australia (RDA) will be in town this evening (Tuesday 10 March 2015). She would like to meet as many business owners as possible and will be at the Enterprise Hotel from 5.30pm. With her there will also be the following representatives:

Sharyn Brown, CEO of Townsville Business Development Centre (TBDC) who will give an update on the TBDC.

Kay Strong, Regional Manager Northern Queensland, AusIndustry.
AusIndustry is the Federal Government's principal agency for delivering assistance, programs and services which support industry, research and innovation. Kay will provide an overview of the programmes and assistance relevant to businesses in the region.

Rod Murray, Business Advisor, AusIndustry – Entrepreneur Development
Rod delivers the business management component of the Entrepreneurs’ Infrastructure Programme. Rod works with eligible businesses to identify growth and improvement opportunities and potentially access funds to enact on recommendations identified through an evaluation processes.

Peter Maddock, Team Leader, Industry Skills – Qld
Peter’s role is to promote the Industry Skills Fund and assist businesses to access this programme. The Industry Skills Fund – Growth Stream (the fund) assists industry to invest in training and support services and to develop innovative training solutions. The fund will help build a highly skilled workforce that can take advantage of new business growth opportunities and adapt to rapid technological change.
