Councillor message - Towers Rush - Cr Sonia Bennetto

Time is fast approaching for the region’s biggest adventure challenge of the year - Towers Rush!

Celebrating its fifth year, Towers Rush is a family friendly event, suitable for all ages and abilities.

The main event will take place on Sunday, 27 October 2019.  Teams of 2-5 participants can register for Towers Rush and take part in a thrilling series of challenges, which will showcase our region's local attractions, businesses, sporting clubs and community groups.

Due to the success of previous years, the lead-up to Towers Rush will once again provide an opportunity to participate in multiple activities, over numerous weekends.  These include mountain biking, kayaking, ride-to-school day, family fun day and twilight markets.

Towers Rush is a milestone community event delivered by Council as part of their commitment to driving community initiatives that promote a healthy lifestyle, community resilience and social engagement.

The event grows bigger and better each year, thanks to the wonderful local businesses, clubs and community groups that support Towers Rush by hosting an event challenge for participants.  We are now seeking challenge hosts for this year’s Towers Rush 2019.

If you’d like to build up your challenge skills before the big event, Mini Rush Ravenswood is on at 10am this Sunday, 8 September 2019 at the Ravenswood Golf Course.

For more information or to host a challenge, visit www.charterstowers.qld.gov.au/towers-rush or contact Council on 4761 5300.
