2017 Payce North Queensland Sports Encouragement Bursaries

 

2017 Payce North Queensland Sports Encouragement Bursaries are now open for applications.  The selection process will take into account the desire for the athlete to achieve in his/her sport.  Recipients will be awarded a unique embroidered track suit jacket along with a cheque for $650. 

Applications are required to be forwarded to Charters Towers Regional Council by 4pm on Friday, 14 July 2017, from which two (2) applicants will be nominated for the Bursary to the North Queensland Sports Foundation. 

Guidelines
Applicants must be under 18 years old in the year that the Bursary is awarded, i.e. they must still be 17 or under as at 31 December 2017.
 
Residency
A recipient must be a resident of the Council area nominating them for the Bursary.  They are deemed a resident if he/she considers the City/Shire/Regional Council their primary place of residency.
 
Sponsorship
A recipient will be considered even if they may receive sponsorship and/or assistance.

Applicants are asked to give a summary of his/her achievements in their chosen sport and their aims and goals for the next 12 months.
