CURRENT WORKS

Vulture Street Roundabout

Council will be undertaking roundabout works at the intersection of Gill and Vulture Streets commencing Thursday 01 March 2018, for a period of four weeks.

Initially the intersection will be closed for two (2) days to allow milling of the roadway, following that construction of the concrete roundabout will continue under traffic control with lane closures and detours.

During these works traffic islands will be temporarily marked out by sandbags, changes will result in access to Charters Towers Veterinary Surgery via Mary Street and Dan Lane only.  Entry to Dan Lane from Gill Street will be closed per Council resolution (No. 2378).

The roundabout will be finalised with pavement construction and road surfacing in late March 2018.

Council acknowledges that the works may cause inconvenience and appreciates the public's cooperation.
