 What is the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF)

The Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) is a partnership between state and local government. 

Its key stakeholders are Arts Queensland, local Councils, RADF Committees and regional and remote communities and their arts and cultural development in regional Queensland.

Every Council in the program is required to adopt an arts and cultural development policy, appoint the RADF liaison officer and set up a publicly elected RADF Committee.  The RADF Committee consists of local artists and cultural workers, member of cultural groups, local organizations or associations, or people active in their community, and is ratified as an advisory committee to Council.

Expressions of Interest / Applications, closing 4pm Friday 15 May 2009, are hereby invited for Committee Members to represent eleven (11 groups within the RADF guidelines.

The vacancies include representation from:

  • Three (3) small isolated communities, Greenvale, Pentland & Ravenswood;
  • Visual Arts;
  • Performance;
  • Literacy;
  • Music;
  • Disability;
  • Youth;
  • Indigenous; and
  • Museum.

RADF Committee Nomination Form

Funding is available for professional artists, professional arts and cultural workers, community groups or people active in their community, or for professional arts or cultural activities.

 Who Can Apply for Funding

You can apply for funding if you:

  • are an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status in Australia;
  • require assistance toward costs of professional services for projects within your local government area; and,
  • are outside the local government area, but your proposal meets needs and also addresses Council's Arts and Cultural Development Policy.
